    1. How old are your swimmers?

    1. Do I need to attend all practices?

No, you can choose which practices you want to attend.

Team make up is largely based on ability, age, and choice of training times.

Typically, the morning practices are attended by swimmers who do not have to work during the  day. Most will swim both Tuesday and Thursday (9:30am-11:30am).

The evening practices are commonly attended by swimmers who are working or attending post secondary education. Most will either swim Monday evening (8:00pm-9:30pm) or Thursday evening (7:30pm-8:30pm).

    1. Are there opportunities to compete locally and abroad?

Yes. The Calgary Aquamums compete yearly at the Alberta provincials and will travel on occasion to compete locally in Canada and the USA as well as world events put on by World Aquatics and Pan Am Aquatic Masters Championships.

    1. What are the training fees?

The Calgary Aquamums is a not for profit organization and therefore the swim fees are calculated on a yearly basis. Fees will vary season to season depending on pool rental prices  and the type of events in which a member chooses to compete. Once club fees are determined, the club treasurer will send out these costs to members.

    1. What is in the name?

The Aquamums were founded in 1967 and were named for the chrysanthemum flower, in part  to complement the Aquabelles.
